Smoothies
Mono-unsaturated fats, the good for you fats found in avocados, are part of a healthy diet regimen that helps you to lose weight, especially belly fat.
Place all of the ingredients into the blender and blend until smooth unless otherwise specified.
Peanut Butter and Banana Smoothie
- ½ banana
- ½ cup peanut butter
- ½ cup milk
- 6 ice cubes
- 1 tablespoon of chocolate whey protein powder
Watermelon Smoothie
- 6 cups of seedless watermelon, chopped
- 1 cup of lemon sherbet, non-fat milk, or low-fat vanilla yogurt
- 12 ice cubes
Put half the watermelon in the blender and blend until smooth. Add half of the ice and sherbet; blend until smooth. Repeat the process with the rest of the ingredients.
Kiwi and Honeydew Smoothie
- 2 cups of honeydew, cubed
- 1 Granny Smith apple, chopped
- 1 kiwi fruit, peeled and chopped
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 1 cup of ice cubes
Place the honeydew, kiwi, apple, sugar, and lemon juice into the blender and blend until it’s smooth, then add the ice cubes and blend until the mixture is slushy.
Mango Surprise Smoothie
- 1/4 cup of cubed mangoes
- 1/4 cup of ripe avocado, mashed
- 1/2 cup of mango juice
- 1/4 cup of fat-free vanilla yogurt
- 1 tablespoon of juice
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
- 6 ice cubes
Raspberry-Avocado Smoothie
- 1 peeled and pitted avocado
- 3/4 cup of orange juice
- 3/4 cup of raspberry juice
- 1/2 cup of frozen raspberries
Banana Almond Smoothie
- 1 banana, sliced and frozen
- 1 tablespoon of almond butter
- 2 teaspoons of flaxseed
- 1/2 cup of almond milk or non-fat yogurt
- A drizzle of honey
- Half a teaspoon of almond or vanilla extract
Cantaloupe Smoothie
- 10 large romaine lettuce leaves
- 2 cups of chopped cantaloupe slices
- 1 cup of frozen strawberries
- 6 ice cubes
Lime Smoothie
- 1/2 cup of lime, sliced
- 2/3 cup of skim milk
- 1 cup of low-fat lime sherbet
- 1/2 cup of raspberries
- 8-10 ice cubes
Silky Mango
- 1/4 cup mango cubes
- 1/4 cup avocado
- 1/2 cup of orange juice
- 1 tbsp freshly squeezed lime juice
Brain Health Blueberry
- 1 cup of unsweetened frozen blueberries, thawed
- 1 small banana
- 1 tbsp of cold-pressed flaxseed oil
Strong Bones Green Almonds
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 2 tbsp natural almond butter
- 1 small banana
- 1 small handful of kale leaves
Healthy Heart Choco-Raspberry
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1/4 organic, fair-trade dark chocolate chips or chunks
- 1 cup of fresh organic raspberries
Healthy Dessert
- 1/2 cup of almond milk
- 1 small banana
- 2 tbsp of natural hazelnut butter
- 1 tsp of organic, fair –trade cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp of maple syrup
